Ive had a passion for taking photos ever since I was a member of the photography club in high school. In the decade and a half thats passed since I first started learning about the craft، I have read a lot of books on the subject in order to try to improve my technique. All those years of study، combined with a very good digital SLR camera and a lot of practice، have turned me into a good enough photographer that Ive been asked to display my work at several local shows and events. Recently، one of my friends suggested taking my photo CDs to some poster printers in the area to get my best shots blown up. I tried it out once، and absolutely loved the result.
But even though I ended up with a great product، I didnt like the prices I was charged. I knew I could do better، so I started checking out other local poster printers. My plan was to get several 18x24 and 24x36 prints made and then to try to sell them on eBay. So I had to find poster printers that could do a quality job for an affordable price otherwise I wouldnt be left with much profit.
After I gave all the poster printers near my home a test run، I had a couple of decent candidates for my repeat business. However، I still wasnt convinced that I was getting the best deal possible. I decided to check online to see what kinds of rates other poster printers were charging.
At first، I couldnt really find anything that suited my needs. Most of the poster printers I found were geared more towards corporate customers. In order to get a low price from them، my order would have to be for several hundred pieces -- which I obviously couldnt do. But after more searching I finally found some poster printers that charged reasonable rates for much lower quantities. Of course I had to test these new poster printers too، just to verify the quality of the prints and to make sure that they were shipped carefully. After a few weeks، I chose two different poster printers to work with on a regular basis.
Its hard to believe، but my posters are actually selling very well on eBay and Im making enough money to purchase new camera equipment whenever I need it. This is only possible because I was able to find poster printers that can give me a fantastic product at an even better price.
